As you can see on the right       we have pictures of the Aztec or Mayan sacrificial knife.  These knives were very important and were used to kill people.  I will admit the Aztecs were violent.  Although they killed people they did it to honor the God's.  The people they killed were usually prisoners, slaves, or captives and were good sacrifices to the Gods.  They called the sacrifices a blood offering sometimes.  During the pre-Columbian era, the Aztecs gave many sacrifices most of which were animals.  The Aztecs said that the animals were a blood offering.  They got lots of blood from the animals.  Since the Aztecs believed the God's loved blood animal sacrifices were good.
